I like working with continuous line, broken line, contour line, and outline. I had fun creating these weird characters on shiny striped paper - I used Bic, Sharpies and Sakura pens, and also some Sharpie Paint pens.

Correspondence about my art journey - where I've been, where I am, and where I am going.

It's like being a little girl again, taking out the coloured markers, and just layering them over each other, watching the interactions of mark and colour. Having spent many years working in watercolour, this experience was pure joy, as the markers stay liquid for a while on this slick surface paper - long enough to bump into each other and join forces.
/I bought a very large journal kit a year or so ago from a store called Ruby Dog's in Vancouver. In the kit were hundred of papers, pictures, ephemera, ribbon etc., and punched pages for creating a journal, or in this case many journals. This is one page I created using some of my favourite elements - repetition of shape. I also emphasized complimentary colours by staying in the blue/orange families. I am happy with the result, and will add it to my box of completed pages.
